MOMMYS A WAITRESS: Schwan's Saves Dinner Time

Yesterday was my day off from waitress work. So I cleaned the house, did my detailed cleaning, and decided to tackle organizing our master bedroom walk-in closet. Finally finished the closet three hours later. I called hubby asked what we were going to have for dinner trying to give a hint ( I really do not want to cook after all this cleaning ) his response was anythings fine. I had to go get my daughter from school i had 45 minutes to get in the shower and go get her. Just as i was blow drying my hair, I hear Honk Honk, I was thinking to myself grrrrrrrrrr who is that, I dont have time for this right now. I peeked out the bedroom window and there He was the Schwan's guy. I threw on my pants went running outside in a panic knowing time was of the essence here. I told him i needed dinner for tonight. This is what I got.

(1) Garlic Texas Toast $6.49.................12 - 1.8 oz. slices Serves 12

(1) Marble Cake & Chocolate Fudge Ripple Ice Cream $8.99.........2lbs. 2oz Serves 12

I took my dinner prize into the house, and walked to pick my daughter up from school. When we got home i placed the Lasagna in the oven. Hubby got home at 5:00 dinner was almost done. I put the garlic toast in the oven, and opened up two cans of green beans and heated them up.

I have only ordered from Schwans twice and it was a gallon of ice cream the first time. Second time was the

Marble Cake & Chocolate Fudge Ripple Ice Cream.

I was a bit worried about how this Lasagna would taste, because i have purchased frozen Lasagna before at the grocery store and it tasted yuck. I cut the Lasagna into six parts. They say it serves six, but honestly the Lasagna was so good it only served four. Hubby and i both went back for second helpings on the Lasagna. The garlic toast was fantastic just the right amount of garlic. Now for dessert, this ice cream cake is addicting, and a great ending to a very good meal. What was left over for tonights dinner? 1 package of 4 slices garlic toast, Half the ice cream cake. We could not have eaten out for dinner cheaper.

So the total cost of this meal? $24.33
